Current Work

Currently 3 investigations are ongoing:

fieldwalking: view site diary

Work started in April 2007 on a fieldwalking investigation (Site Code lbf07, Intervention 02). This is being undertaken by AD Archaeology. As work progresses, the information gathered will be fed into both the interactive map and the online context database. A Site Diary will also be updated as work continues (to date there have been 3 entries).

plough monitoring: view site diary

Work started in February 2007 on a plough monitoring investigation (Site Code lbf07, Intervention 01). This is being undertaken by Archaeoscope. As work progresses, the information gathered will be fed into both the interactive map and the online context database. A Site Diary will also be updated as work continues (to date there have been 1 entries).

excavation: view site diary

Work started in November 2007 on a excavation investigation (Site Code lbf07, Intervention 03). This is being undertaken by AD Archaeology & Archaeoscope. As work progresses, the information gathered will be fed into both the interactive map and the online context database. A Site Diary will also be updated as work continues (to date there have been 8 entries). This investigation is currently on hold while the planning application is reconsidered.
