Watching Brief, 2003. Summary Details
Fieldwork November to December 2003.
Covered an area immediately to the west of Flask Lane and to the south and east of previous excavations.
Carried out to a refined standard.
Intervention 5 se Watching brief produced linear features (furrows, hedge lines, and ditches), a pair of uninterrupted square enclosures, pits and natural features (vegetational and geological).
An inhumation was discovered in one of the ditch segments.
A pit nearby the other square ditched enclosure produced the remains of four horses.
