Fieldwork | November to December 2003. Covered an area immediately to the west of Flask Lane and to the south and east of previous excavations. Carried out to a refined standard. |

Intervention 5 se | Watching brief produced linear features (furrows, hedge
lines, and ditches), a pair of uninterrupted square enclosures, pits and
natural features (vegetational and geological). An inhumation was discovered in one of the ditch segments. A pit nearby the other square ditched enclosure produced the remains of four horses. |
